EARNING SELF-RESPECT
Most of us struggle to put up healthy boundaries with people. We all admit that we do have people in our lives who treat us so poorly, they talk down to us,they boss us around and sometimes they are really rude and aggressive and we really struggle to find away to tell them to stop.
Times are gone when we were really young and we had no option than to let people treat us in undesirable way. We're now grownups and have the ability to do whatever it takes to just get treated rightly.
Here are some of the things you should do to set boundaries and ensure you get treated in the right manner.
First you should know that you have the right to walk away from someone who treats you badly. For example if your boyfriend is always or sometimes speaks to you rudely learn to just walk away the moment he is doing it.Through this you will earn self respect and be able to teach people how they should treat you.
Secondly, You have the right to say no. Saying no doesn't make you a jerk, it doesn't make you selfish, it doesn't make you look rude and horrible person. It means we recognize what's right for us and we have the right to say no.
.Lastly recognize any toxic relationship that you have with any of your friends and distance yourself from such people. It doesn't matter whether they are your relatives or not because sometimes people who are close to us like our parents maybe toxic.Just make sure you're not around them and avoid taking any part in their discussions
Setting this boundaries can be really hard because we are afraid our friends Will view us as selfish people but think to yourself, ,is it important for people to like you or is it important for you to like you.
Don't let anyone treat you like shit.

Across the globe, floods have posed tremendous danger to people's lives and properties. Floods cause about one third of all deaths, one third of all injuries and one third of all damages from natural disasters.
The rainy season is undoubtedly not the best time of the year in Kenya. The period comes with perennial problems of flooding with the resultant loss of lives and properties.
The disaster has been perilous to people, communities and institutions. Recently an illegally and irregularly constructed man-made dam within the vast Patel coffee estate located in Solai,Nakuru broke it's banks gushing out 190million liters of water through settlements leaving in it's wake gruesome deaths horrible injuries (physical, mental and emotional )massive destruction of property and unprecedented displacement of people. While solai residents were still bemoaning their fate the fury of flooding was spreading swiftly across other parts of the country .

Heavy rains being experienced in many parts of the country since beginning of this month ,causing floods, flash floods and casualties. On 18th October 2019 Lamu residents were hit by floods as River Lagwarera burst its banks.More than 1000 residents including school going children in the villages in Boni forests were affected by the floods. The seasonal river originates from Ethiopian highlands. Many students missed school for several days as they were forced to wait until the floods abate.
Floods have not only left several people homeless, disrupted business activities, the floods ravaging communities in western Kenya,Isiolo,Garissa,Turkana,Tana River,Wajir etc are also threatening to expose residents to water borne diseases such as Cholera,Bilharzia and Typhoid. The congestion of camps by the homeless people also poses a big health challenge in terms of communicable diseases. Floods also enhances environmental degradation and also the normal production and distribution of goods. There's also interfere with the culture as seen in congestion of households with children of 15years huddled with their parents in the camping structures, this contributes to social and health problems.
Some of the measures that are being taken to control floods are constructing furrows to drain water, construction of dykes along the river banks, dredging of river channels and building dams across rivers.
